Western Red Cedar (WRC) is a plantation timber from North America. We use this timber because it is light, has great insulating properties, remains stable (doesn't warp) and is knot-free. |

Yes. All of our shutters are produced from Western Red Cedar. Although the attractive grain of this timber will not be visible under a solid finish, the timber possesses many other valuable properties including lightweight, strength etc. |

If you choose a solid colour finish your shutters will remain as new for many years. Should you choose a natural timber / clear lacquer finish and your shutters are subjected to all-day exposure, your shutters my fade. There is no clear lacquer available capable of preventing this. |

Yes. Shutters are our business. We measure, quote, fashion, finish and install your shutters without employing outside resources. Our factory is located at 75 Dover Drive, Burleigh Heads, and you are very welcome to come and visit the showroom. |

No. All joints are doweled and glued. The 'shutter pins' used are high quality imported Teflon. The staples used to connect the blades to the 'tilt bar' are made of stainless steel. This means that all components are strong and durable, coming together to form a shutter panel that is requires no maintenance. Periodic dusting is recommended. |
